2019 GIS in Your Classroom
Creating Understanding Through Data and Maps
This 2-day workshop will bring higher order thinking skills to the forefront with ArcGIS Online, a cloud-based mapping program freely available to all South Dakota K12 schools. ArcGIS Online will enable students to think critically about real-world content and make inferences using data. Students have the opportunity to analyze, create and make connections with real data and real issues in all content areas. Learn ways to incorporate the free ArcGIS Online School account into your classroom using lesson plans prepared by ArcGIS, plans created by other educators and how to create your own maps. Bring a laptop to participate in this interactive training.
Workshop will be held 8:00-4:00 local time.
